CARTAGENA DE INDIAS, A PARADISE IN THE CARIBBEAN

Cartagena de Indias is the most important tourist destination in Colombia and one of the most known in the Caribbean, famous for its happy, pleasant and extroverted population, its fine food and restaurants, the hotels, its exciting nightlife, beautiful beaches and glorious sport activities. In 1959 the historical center or “the Walled City” was declared Colombia’s National Patrimony and a Historic Heritage of mankind by the UNESCO in 1984. Its importance remains in force: located in a wide bay and surrounded by islands and lagoons, this city, whose history made it the main port during the Colonial period, is today a must tourist destination and investment place in Colombia.
